Mobile Tire Chain Service for Snowbound Vehicles
AT-1 Gunma Road Service helps vehicles stuck in snow around Karuizawa, Kusatsu, and Manza.
If you are stuck on the road or cannot leave your hotel parking lot, we bring the correct chains and install them on-site.
- Chains in stock: We stock many common sizes for rental cars, sedans, minivans, Hiace, and more.
- On-site installation: Fast and careful installation.
- Emergency support: Night / holidays depending on availability.
When you are stuck for a long time, toilets become a real problem (especially with children).
We stock a portable emergency toilet: 550 JPY per pack (3 sheets per pack). Ask us if needed.

IMPORTANT: Cancellation Policy & Fees
We drive a long distance from Gunma to rescue you, and we reserve time and equipment for your case.
To prevent abuse, cancellation fees apply after you confirm the dispatch.
Cancellation Fees
- Cancel 30 minutes after dispatch confirmation: Flat fee 11,000 JPY
- Cancel after we arrive (snow melted / you got out yourself, etc.): 19,800 - 27,500 JPY
Why? The dispatch itself is a service: 4WD vehicle, equipment, and time reserved for you.
If payment is not made for confirmed fees, we may pursue collection through appropriate procedures.

Total Cost = [Dispatch Fee] + [Chain Cost] + [Installation Fee]
*Final price depends on tire size, location, time, and road conditions.
1) Hotel / Parking Lot (Safe Area)
- Karuizawa Area: Around 30,000 JPY
- Kita-Karuizawa / Onioshidashi: Around 32,000 JPY
- Kusatsu Onsen: Around 32,000 JPY
- Manza / Shima Onsen: Around 37,000 JPY
*Large minivans (Toyota Alphard / Vellfire) may cost approx. +10,000 JPY because chains are expensive.
2) Roadside Rescue (Stuck on Road)
If you are stuck on the road, emergency fees may apply.
Dispatch Fee (from):
- Karuizawa Area: 24,200 JPY
- Onioshidashi Area: 33,000 JPY
- Kusatsu Onsen Area: 26,400 JPY
- Manza Onsen Area: 27,500 JPY
+ Installation Labor (Roadside): 4,400 - 11,000 JPY (depends on vehicle size)

Send your location pin + tire size photo + car model + situation. We will reply with availability and estimated time/cost.
⚠️ For Tourists / Non-Residents
If you do not have a Japanese address,
Advance Deposit (¥20,000) may be required depending on the case.
We will tell you if a deposit is required after confirming your location and situation.
If required, please pay securely via Square below.

Important Notes
Vehicles We CANNOT Serve (Examples)
- Very low cars: lowered suspension / not enough clearance for chains.
- Special large tires: some large SUVs / modified vehicles (we may not stock the chains).

Cash or Credit Card is accepted on-site.
*For some tourist cases, advance deposit may be required.
